Stock Tune File Repository

After spending a couple years always searching for the right OS to segment swap from with HPtuners I put together this collection of stock tune files to make my life easier.  This is the result of years of reading out hundreds of modules pulled from salvage yards as well as customer vehicles and fresh flashes from SPS.

Everything is sorted by controller type (P01, P59, E38, etc) and then by year and operating system.   So to find what you need should be really easy.  All files are from HPtuners 4.2 or earlier, and there is a growing collection of other software, like EFIlive, Tunercat, raw bins, etc.

If you don't find what you need in here, or want a read from a specific VIN number or in another format, please feel free to email a request to james@customecm.com and I can accommodate that for a small fee.

WARNING: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.  I HAVE NOT VERIFIED THEM ALL BY CVNs THAT EVERY ONE OF THEM ARE 100% FACTORY TUNES, ONLY THAT I HAD A REASONABLE EXPECTATION THAT THEY WERE.

How do I know if a tune is really unmodified???

You can look up the calibration IDs and verification numbers by VIN number on the tis2web service for free at any time without an account.  You can use this to determine if your calibration has been modified from the stock GM flash.  You can also do stuff like determine if a specific VIN number ever came with a specific operating system or used the same calibration as another, etc.  This walkthrough is for GM and HPtuners, but there are similar processes for other software/makes.

1) Open the calibration details by clicking this button or CTRL+D on your keyboard and go to the "Controllers" tab.

2) Copy the VIN number from this screen and go to https://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2web/  This is GM's site for looking up calibration information.  NOTE: The GM TIS Site has been down for a while.  Not sure if/when it will be back up.  If it is back up and I haven't removed this big ugly red text, shoot me a message so I can remember!  Here's an alternate you can use in the meantime:  https://tis2web.service.opel.com/tis2web

3) Enter the VIN here and click Get CAL ID.

4) Select the module you're working with and click next, in this case we're checking the PCM.

5) Select Programming and click next.

6) Click on the "Complete History" button at the top to show all segments and their history on one screen.  Then compare the calibration part numbers that match up in HPtuners to the CVNs.  Any that don't match indicates that the tune has been modified.  You can see in our example here that the the only two segments that have NOT been modified here are Transmission Diagnostic and Fuel System.  (this is a cammed and tuned Tahoe that I just happened to have open when I made the walkthrough, so that's to be expected).  If it's a bone stock tune all CVNs should match up.
